Marketing Dot Com November 2010
This is an image I created for the November 2010 issue of Marketing Dot Com (MDC).

The image accompanied an article about encouraging creativity and daring to be different when trying to attract and retain new website visitors. The author of this particular article made a reference to Google and how by turning their homepage logo in to a simple Pac-Man game, they boosted the average time people spent on their homepage from 11 seconds to 36 seconds.

The crayons were created in Cheetah 3D and added to the piece of paper and table in Bryce. The final render was then cropped and colour tweaked in Photoshop.
Wordpress Dot Com v Dot Org
Marketing Dot Com August 2011
This is an image I created for the August 2011 issue of Marketing Dot Com (MDC).

The image accompanied an article that discussed the strengths and weaknesses of building your website using the Wordpress.com and the Wordpress.org plaforms. What we have here is a vintage boxing poster promoting a COM vs ORG slugfest.

The graphics and typography were set in Adobe Illustrator. These were copied and pasted in to Photoshop as Smart Objects and layered over a scanned piece of folded paper. The background wall texture is a desaturated stock image.
